Baba’s Birthday at Meherana
Meherana will be open in celebration of Meher Baba’s 117th Birthday, Saturday, Feb 26th.
Come spend time in Baba’s Cabin, go for walks or hikes, sit by the creek, hang and enjoy camaraderie, paint or ….? Agua Fria Creek is flowing this time of year and is a great place for a picnic so bring a lunch and stay a while.

Paul will lead a hike at 11am which will take about an hour (or more if you like). Children are welcome.
Cake and ice cream will be served in the afternoon at Baba’s Cabin about 2pm.

As I compose this “Trust Talk,” all Meherabad is a-buzz. Two days ago,
on the 28th, more than a thousand volunteers poured in from all over
India, and they have spent most of their last 36 hours carrying out
the innumerable small tasks that an event on this scale entails. More
than ten thousand pilgrims arrive today. Early this afternoon the
actual program begins in the amphitheater on the Hill, and from then
until mid-day on 1st February, performances run continuously, except
for a few short hours in the dead of night. Even then, pilgrims can be
seen all over Meherabad, and especially in the vicinity of the
Samadhi, where, over the course of these three days, many thousands

As Amartithi approaches, again the Trust plans to broadcast main
events of the Meherabad gathering through the internet. A team of
Trust workers and volunteers, including Bob Fredericks, Carolina
Rincon, and Mark Riney, will be collaborating with a team from the
Hyderabad group, including Rajendra Meher Poduri, Phani Nath Dheram,
and others. These are a few of the faces you will be seeing in the
audio-visual coverage accessible through the Avatar Meher Baba Trust’s

- Agua Fria Creek by Baba’s Cabin Jan. 4, 2011
All of us at Meherana wish you a Happy New Year in Beloved Baba’s Love. December and the beginning of January have brought ample rains to Meherana this year. The Sierra Nevada Foothills have received over 30 inches of rain so far this season. Agua Fria Creek is full, bank to bank, and you can hear the water rushing down the creek bed from the caretaker’s house at the top of the hill. The forest is green and lush and the grass springy and even soggy. As a result it should be a beautiful wildflower season in April and May.

Meherana needs a caretaker. This presents a wonderful opportunity for the right person, couple, or family to do service in Meher Baba’s cause while living in a beautiful, natural setting.
The primary need is for someone to live at Meherana who can keep on eye on the property, greet visitors and support them during their stay.

Jai Baba! 58 years ago today, on April 18th 1952, Baba boarded a TWA flight from Bombay to New York. It had been fifteen long years since He had journeyed west. Accompanying Him were Mehera, Mani, Meheru, Goher, Rano and Kitty. Waiting on the shores of America were His faithful disciples who had lovingly followed His instructions to create Meher Spiritual Center, which was soon to have its official opening. Baba was leading the Complicated Free Life, and the trip fulfilled His wish and will for His ongoing work for all humanity.
