And, on the evening of Friday August 19, we hope you will join us in Portland for a grand fundraiser/silent auction for Meher Fund, which supports Dr. Goher’s Clinic, Meher Free Dispensary, at Meherazad. The fundraiser will take place from 7-9 pm at BodyVox Dance Center in Portland. $25 admission includes appetizers provided by the Bombay Cricket Club Restaurant, wine from Silver Falls Vineyards, and gourmet desserts. Charles will give a short talk, and we will see a slide show about the Dispensary.

The day Beloved Archives closed on the House of the Beloved in Hamilton, New Jersey, the city was blanketed with snow. As a few of us ploughed through the driveway of the House, our legs sank into the frozen ice crystals as we plodded to the main doorway. It was a memorable beginning.

Help is needed at the Heartland Center work retreat for renovating the Morrison House and doing some repairs at the Burleson House. We are looking for 7 or more hard working volunteers. Of course, we’ll stop the ghamela yoga long enough on May 24th to visit the accident site and commemorate Baba’s sacrifice. This will be the 59th anniversary of Baba’s ‘accident’. What an opportunity to remember Him!

Avatar Meher Baba Center of Chicago Announces Open House!
The Avatar Meher Baba Center of Chicago (AMBCC) has announced an open house to be held on Saturday, 12th March 2011 from 6p to 9p (Central). The program will include music, film, pot-luck, and a talk by Noshir Signanporia who met Baba and lived in Meherabad during Baba’s time.
