Dear Friends,
This coming 31st January marks the forty-first anniversary of that Day
in 1969 when Beloved Avatar Meher Baba dropped His physical form. Over
the years since then Amartithi has emerged as the chief event in the
Trust’s annual calendar, attracting to Meherabad tens of thousands of
Meher Baba’s lovers from throughout India and around the world.
The Amartithi commemoration proper runs from early afternoon on 30th
January through about 1 p.m. 1st February; but really speaking it has
begun already, as volunteers pour into Meherabad and begin to take up

The title of this new booklet is The Mystery of the Manifestation: Suddenism, Gradualism, and Nihilism.

During a period of seclusion in Meherabad, Meher Baba had given his women disciples a chant and a song to sing every day:
You are Formless, Parvardigar, Ahuramazda, Allah, Hu.You are Yezdan, You are God, Ahuramazda, Allah, Hu.You are Paramatma, Parabrahma; You are Almighty God, Ishwar.You are Parameshwar, Ezad, Ahuramazda, Allah, Hu.
Explaining it on October 11th, Baba stated:
Ezad means the One who is the First – God the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent. There are millions of names of God, but those that have a sound effect are few. Every sound you make, every thought you think, good or bad, stays. But that sound which results in feeling has force behind it which helps or hurts others.

Commissioner gives REPORT!

In a previous post, I mentioned that Bhau (one of Baba’s mandali) gave me the title of Commissioner (of Universal Police) and when each time he sees me he asks for FULL REPORT. I have no clue as to my official duties as Commissioner of Universal Police but Bhau always asks about the latest catastrophes around the globe: floods, earthquakes, fires, storms, etc. It seems I’m keeping my fingers on the pulse of something as we head into the destruction of three quarters of the world as we know it, which ultimately will lead to (or is part of?) the breaking of Baba’s silence and His manifestation. Well, the last couple of weeks have been full of news of all those physical calamities, plus we still have a war (or many) on-going.

The Blue Bus – 7th October 1938
On this day 71 years ago (7 October 1938):
ON FRIDAY, the 7th of October, Baba spoke separately to the men and women mandali about journeying all over India by bus. He asked Sarosh to have a special bus built for the purpose. Sarosh did so according to Baba’s precise specifications and, because it was painted blue, it became known as the Blue Bus. Baba’s plan had unparalleled significance, as he was to travel by this bus with his Eastern and Western women over the length and breadth of the country, contacting masts at many different places.

Imagine my surprise
I started to write something about a blogpost I read yesterday that stated Baba was silent for 33 years and Adi K. Irani was the actual author of everything written that bears Meher Baba’s name. Imagine my surprise when I read that bit of information. And that’s all I’m going to write about it and that is probably way more than it deserves. We could probably start a conspiracy theory going if we wanted to do so. (i’m just kidding, i hope you all know)

This New Life is endless….
It doesn’t look like I’ll be able to attend the New Life Sahavas at Meherana this weekend. Various logistics concerning transportation and on-going health issues make it wise to just stay home. So I’ll post a message from Meher Baba about the New Life, given September 1950 and maybe add some photos of Meherana.
This New Life is endless, and even after my physical death it will be kept alive by those who live the life of complete renunciation of falsehood, lies, hatred, anger, greed and lust; and who, to accomplish this, do no lustful actions, do no harm to anyone, do no back-biting, do not seek material possessions, or power, who accept no homage, neither covet honor or shun disgrace, and fear no one and nothing; by those who rely wholly and solely upon God, and who love God… Continue reading
A wee bit on Meher Baba’s New Life
It’s the Autumnal Equinox today, and fall definitely is NOT in the air here in sunny Mariposa. Temps in the mid to upper 90s during the day, the only hint of autumn is the cooler nitetime temps and the sun rising later and setting earlier.
In a couple of weeks, we’ll be coming together at Meherana for the annual New Life Sahavas. This year commemorates the 60th anniversary of Meher Baba’s New Life, a phase of his work that began on 16th October 1949. I don’t have anything beyond that to share except for the following from Tales from the New Life (narrated by Eruch, Mehera, Mani, and Meheru, © 1976 Avatar Meher Baba Perpetual Public Charitable Trust).
