Bhau Returns to Hospitalabad
Beloved Avatar Meher Baba Ki Jai!
Baba often seems to give the bitter with the sweet, and the past week, Bhau greeted a steady stream of pilgrims and other visitors, chatting and joking with them and giving them their three handslaps (one each for Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh). Sunday was a beautiful Internet chat, culminating with Rama (Bhau’s wife) visiting the Trust Office for the closing.
But on Monday, 18th July, Bhau’s health somewhat worsened.
As many people know, Bhau has been suffering from a severe and persistent cough. Tuesday night, 19th July 2011, he underwent an episode of high blood pressure brought on by this unremitting cough.
It was decided that he should be taken to the hospital to be more thoroughly evaluated by specialists. Fully conscious (and thoroughly annoyed at the thought of going back to the hospital), Bhau was taken by ambulance to a local hospital around midnight local time.
There, thankfully, the doctors discovered that Bhau did not have pneumonia. But he was, however, suffering from bronchitis. They immediately started administering antibiotics, and Bhau responded extremely well. He slept through the night, for the first time in a while. He is now resting comfortably, under the watchful eye of Dr. Anne, his Team and the hospital specialists and doctors.
Bhau had stayed in this hospital last year and everyone found the staff extremely attentive and considerate. He is receiving absolutely topnotch care.
Rama and Raj, Bhau’s daughter-in-law, are cooking his meals for him, which are duly taken to the hospital in tins, tiffins, and thermoses for him to enjoy.
The doctors have all emphasized that absolute rest is mandatory for Bhau and will be the best possible remedy to speed his recovery.
Bhau is very much aware of all the loving prayers and get-well wishes you dear ones are sending to him via the Inner-net, and everyone on his Team is also grateful for this outpouring of love from throughout the world.
Thus there is no need for physical confirmation of your inner feelings. So please, no visitors, no phone calls.
And, please, no cards or emails until Bhau is completely recovered and can fully appreciate them.
We will keep you updated with Bhau’s condition as he recuperates.
He sends all of you dear ones Jai Ho! Jai Ho! Jai Jai Kar Ho!, yours.
With all love and Jai Baba to you,
In His Love and Service,
Bhau’s Various Teams
